POLICE are still searching for a man who was seen with stab wounds outside a community centre in Bournemouth.

Officers continue to investigate an incident where a man was reported to have sustained serious injuries and are appealing for him to come forward.

At around 11.55am on Tuesday, April 16, police were called to Townsend Community Centre in Jewell Road, where it was reported a man with a stab wound had presented himself asking for help.

The man left shortly after, heading in the direction of Stone Gardens.

One resident said: “It is terrifying to think that he is still on the loose.”

There were reports of fluid on the floor outside the Townsend Community Fridge, and one resident reported seeing ‘darker patches’, which they assumed were blood splatters.

Police carried out extensive searches of the area, but the man could not be located.

Police Constable Callum Mercer of Bournemouth police said: “We are making a number of enquiries to establish the identity of the victim and his whereabouts.

“I would like to make a direct plea to the man to please get in touch so we can make sure he is OK and find out what happened.

“Also, I am keen to speak with anyone with information about the incident that may help our investigation.”
