THE following cases were heard at Poole Magistrates' Court:

ELLIS DAWSON, 25 and of Lonsdale Road in Wimborne, admitted possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place after being found with a pocket knife with a blade exceeding 7.62 centimetres in Wimborne on February 28. He was handed a community order lasting until April 9, 2025, with a requirement to complete 120 hours of unpaid work. He was also ordered to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service and a victim surcharge of £114.

ALMEANA BROWNE, 61 and of Kings Avenue in Poole, was found guilty of using threatening / abusive / insulting words / behaviour with intent to cause fear of / provoke unlawful violence towards a man in Kings Avenue in Poole on October 19, 2022. Court records report there was a knife present during the offence. She was handed a 12-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months. She was also ordered to pay compensation of £200, a victim surcharge of £154, and costs of £620 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

SEAN ALAN DODGE, 35 and of Damory Court in Blandford Forum, was found guilty of failing to give information to Dorset Police on May 26, 2023, which related to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. He got six points on his licence. He was also fined £100, ordered to pay costs of £300 to the Crown Prosecution Service, and a victim surcharge of £40.

ROBERT ELLIOTT, 45 and of Pine Road in Bournemouth, admitted drug driving in Nelson Close, New Milton, on June 27, 2021. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months. He was also fined £120, ordered to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service and a victim surcharge of £32.

KIMPTON MAKAWA, 37 and of Hawthorn Road in Bournemouth, admitted drink driving in Wimborne Road in Bournemouth on February 27. He was disqualified from driving for 46 months. He was also fined £614, ordered to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service, and a victim surcharge of £246.

MEGAN UNDERHILL, 29 and of Bournemouth, admitted theft from a person after stealing a handbag from someone in Poole on May 16, 2023, which contained items including a Lloyds bank card, house keys, ID cards and £185 in cash. She also admitted fraud by false representation after using the stolen bank card to purchase items at Spar in Alder Road, Poole. She was conditionally discharged for a period of 12 months and ordered to pay compensation of £285.

GLEN BAINBRIDGE, 74 and of St Valarie Road in Bournemouth, admitted racially / religiously aggravated intentional harassment / alarm / distress towards a woman in Bournemouth on November 16, 2023. He was fined £381, ordered to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service, and a victim surcharge of £152. A restraining order was also made for the victim.

ANTONIO AMARAL, 41 and of Lansdowne Crescent in Bournemouth, admitted driving without insurance in Gervis Road, Bournemouth, on February 26. He was disqualified from driving for six months and got six points on his licence. He was also fined £60, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £24, and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

SIMON KEATS, 56 and of Vectis Road in Barton-on-Sea, admitted drink driving in Barton-on-Sea on March 23, and in Christchurch on April 9. He was disqualified from driving for 40 months. He was also fined £600 and ordered to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
