WILL Dennis remained coy over his Cherries future, saying he will have to “talk to the club” before working out his next steps.

Dennis, 23, is enjoying a breakout season in men’s football, playing week in, week out for Kilmarnock.

The goalkeeper has been with Cherries since 2016, making one senior appearance, in an FA Cup win over Oldham Athletic at Vitality Stadium in January 2021.

The former Watford youngster has previously had spells out on loan at non-league clubs Guernsey, Verwood Town, Weymouth, Wealdstone and Slough Town, before making the big jump up to the Scottish Premiership this season.

Highly thought of at Cherries, Dennis is under contract at Vitality Stadium until the summer of 2025.

The goalkeeping department appears set for big change in the summer, with both Andrei Radu and Darren Randolph looking set for the exit.

Question marks remain over captain Neto, while Mark Travers is keen for regular game-time, either at Cherries or elsewhere.

Teenager Callan McKenna was signed in January from Queen’s Park and has been on the bench for two Premier League matches this month.

Kilmarnock currently sit fourth in the Scottish top flight and are pushing for a European qualification place.

Asked if he could return to Rugby Park, particularly if Killie reach Europe, Dennis said, in quotes reported by Football Scotland: “Of course. There’s talks to be had and, hopefully, we can get that sorted.

“I hope so.

“I want to play the rest of the games, go back and talk to the club and see where I am at.”
