YOUNGSTERS will be dressing up as their favourite characters today for World Book Day.
Book characters will be brought to life in classrooms across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.
Popular costumes include Where’s Wally, Mary Poppins, The Hungry Caterpillar and Stick Man.
The much-loved annual event started by UNESCO in 1995 is a “worldwide celebration of books and reading”.
It is celebrated in more than 100 countries around the world.
This year’s theme is ‘read your way’ with participants encouraged to enjoy reading.
We’d love to see your pictures and you can share them with us by clicking the button below.
We'll feature them online and also a selection in the paper.
